Whether we meditate every morning for ten minutes or an hour, we usually have a place at home that is quiet, dark and private.
We prefer no distractions, because the mind is distracting enough.
We may also have a place outside our home we like to visit where it is easy to meditate.
It could be a temple, a church, a park, a forest, the mountains, or the beach. There's something about being out in nature...
We can't get there as often as we'd like, but we can imagine it in a heartbeat, and remember the good feelings we have when we're there.
And then there are the places in between. Smaller, more accessible places that still manage to put us in a meditative mood.
It could be something in our own backyard, perhaps a fountain or a garden area near the patio.
This a photo I found that I'd like to recreate one day. It's been a very nice screensaver.
Do you have favorite places you like to go?
